At Hydrosmith we design & manufacture Hydraulic Power Units , Hydraulic Presses and other Hydraulic-powered Equipments for Industrial Applications

A Hydraulic Power Unit comprises

- A reservoir storing Hydraulic Oil

- Pumping Unit [ A hydraulic Pump driven by an Electric motor

   running on 3phase AC Mains / battery or a  Diesel Engine]

- Pressure Control, Flow Control & Direction Control valves

- Hydraulic Cylinders, Hydraulic Motors

  - Heat Exchangers  [also called Oil Coolers]

- Accessories such as Filters, Strainers , Gauges etc.,

Hydraulic Oil serves the purposes of

1. Transmitting Power

2. Sealant between static and rotating parts of the Pumps & Valves

3. Lubricating internal parts of Pumps & Valves

4. Cooling the internal parts of the Pumps & Valves

Hydraulic Oil in the process of carrying out above functions , gets heated. When the oil heats up its viscosity gets reduced leading to its above functions being impaired. Hence it is essential to cool the oil & recirculate

Oil cooling is achieved

* by blasting air over the tubes carrying the hot oil [or]

* by making hot oil flow around the tubes inside which cool water is

   passing.

Oil after cooling is to be at 50 -55ºC

The Oil-Water cooling arrangement used in our products are shown in the enclosed photographs . The Hydraulic Power Units using Oil cooler are employed  in various Industrial Applications such as

- Nip loading Presses in Paper Mills

- Hydraulic Pushers in Steel Re-rolling Mills

- Rubber Moulding Presses

- Machine Tools [CNC machines, Special Purpose Machines]

- Hydraulic Presses for Sheet Metal , Aluminium Die-casting

  Machines

Heat Exchangers [Oil water coolers] as above, purchased by M/s.Hydrosmith vide various invoices, from  M/s. Epsilon Engineering, Coimbatore covered under Form 17 no.612260 dt.11.11.2005, are input materials in the industrial equipments manufactured by M/s.Hydrosmith & supplied to their customers.

These Heat Exchangers are not used for air conditioning or refrigeration applications.

Battery purchased by M/s.Hydrosmith  vide invoice no1399 / 10.01.2004 of M/s.Excel Battery House, Coimbatore & covered under Form 17 no.281576 dt.04.02.2005 is for running the DC Motor driving the Hydraulic Pump used in the Bladder Pickup Trolley manufactured & supplied by M/s.Hydrosmith to M/s. TVS Srichakra Ltd, vide invoice no.436  dt.23.02.2004. This is an industrial application.Hydrosmith is manufacturing Power Packs and variety of presses for different applications. These include deep drawing, rubber moulding power compacting, baling presses for paper steel scrap etc.,

Hydraulic Power Unit : are used in specifications 0.5hp to 50hp, Flow from

0.5lpm. we manufacture Hydraulic Power Units as per the specification of the customers form 0.5hp to 50 hp . Flow form 0.5 ltr to 1000 ltrs capacity.

Application : It is applied in Machine Tools, Paper Mill, Steel Rolling Mill, rubber Processing and Moulding in the foundry Coir products and handling equipments. Special purpose machines.

Baling Press

Hydraulic Baling Presses are useful in reduced transportation cost less storage space and better house keeping to minimise fire hazards. This baling machines

are highly suitable for corrugated box manufacturing packing industry paper cone and tube manufacturers and other paper converters also can realise higher sale price for their waste paper by stuffing more quantity per truck load. This Hydraulic Baling Machines can also be used to bale cotton waste, iron scraps.

Hydraulic Baling Presses : Used in Cloth, HDPE Bags, Paper & Carton, Pet Bottles, Chilli and metallic scraps units.

Log Splitters : are used for splitting wood logs for firewood and boiler feeds.

Coir Pith squeezer for water removal.

Coir –pith compaction Presses for 650gm, 5kg and grow bags .

Geo-log press for stuffing Coir product into Coir net.

Rubber Moulding Presses upto 200ton

Interlock block making machines & plant using latenite sand.

Hydraulic Trainer Kit; Cut section valves and Transparent for Colleges and Industries.

Handling Hydraulics high lift scissor type , lifting platforms are used in places where very high equipments are installed or materials and items have to be shifted from ground floor to first / second floor . They could be fixed in pit. In mobile version there can transport from one way to another by pulling or pushing.
